After performing the song live, Arctic Monkeys revealed the proper studio version of the song “Do I Wanna Know?” through an animated video. The song, as of now, is a single, but word is we should expect a full-length later this year. It has really been interesting to see these guys develop over the years into band that is consistently changing and open to new directions. Listen to the song and watch the video below.
After turning some heads with the 2011 self-titled EP and song “Just To Be Like You” earlier this year, Ski Lodge, the musical project of Andrew Marr, is ready to release his debut album Big Heart via Dovecote. The album will include the previously mentioned “Just To Be Like You” and this new one “Boy” with eleven tracks in total. Marr does his best to pull inspiration from the likes of The Smiths/Morrissey and succeeds with the two songs to date. Listen to “Boy” below.

Sam Beam, better known as Iron & Wine, is in the midst of promoting his latest and fifth studio album Ghost on Ghost released earlier this year via 4AD/Nonesuch. Recently, he filmed an episode of At: Guitar Center with Nic Harcourt to perform some tracks and speak about his new offering. One of the song peformed was opening track “Caught in the Briars.” You can never go wrong with the simple elegance of Beam’s compositions. They are just timeless. Mantangi, the long-awaited fourth LP from M.I.A. has gone through some issues since its announcement. It was supposed to be released in April, but supposedly was deemed too positive by her label Interscope Records. Since, she has been reworking to darken the subject matter a bit and should anticipate a release around early fall. Over the weekend, we heard a snippet of a new song “Bring The Noize” via Vine, but now get the song in full via Zane Lowe’s BBC 1 show. Listen below.
“Hurt Me Now” is the third single from Austra’s new LP, Olympia,out tomorrow via Domino and starts to put together a theme of heartache and pain when matched with other songs “Painful Like” and “Home.” The music is dense on this LP and you get a sense that this a band starting to come into their own under the leadership of Katie Stelmanis. “You Can’t See Me” is a new track by the collaboration of Milwaukee’s Kiings, comprised of Chris Siegel and Sean Foran, and Brooklyn singer Christine Hoberg. As of now, it is a one off song available to buy here at their bandcamp, but we are hoping that this could lead to some more music from them. Hoberg’s captivating vocals are mixed with perfect production from Kiings that don’t overwhelm, but accentuate them even further. Stream it below.
Love him or hate him, you can’t deny the talent that is Kanye West. While his lyrics are sometimes suspect, the production is always on point. After non-traditional methods of marketing his latest collection of material, Yeezus, it has finally leaked in all of its glory. If the name of the album did not give it away, humble is not a word to describe the content on this one as he is doing his best to lay claim to being one of the greatest. After a couple of listens, the hype just might fall in line with the quality, although it peaks in the middle songs of the LP. Yeezus offiically comes out June 18th via Def Jam.
