Think about your favorite female singer. Seriously, take a second and make your pick. Got it? Alright, now click the link below to hear Lissie’s song “Bully,” and prepare to reconsider.
Lissie is an Illinois native who’s debut EP, last year’s Why You Runnin’, was nothing short of gorgeous – mostly acoustic, heart-destroying folk. But her first LP, Catching a Tiger, out next month on Fat Possum, is way better. While we can’t give you a taste of the whole thing just yet, we can give you a wee sample: the piano ballad “Bully.”
Honestly, we can’t wait to bring you more of this little lady.

I can’t wait for you to bring us more of this little lady either. Holy Crap! “Bully” is a hauntingly beautiful song; and that voice…so honest. Thanks for pointing me in her direction.
