A few days ago I was pontificating on the importance of NEU! in the evolution of modern music. Case in point, Bot’Ox, a project from French DJ/producer Benjamin Boguet (alias Cosmo Vitelli) and drummer/sound engineer of Julien Briffaz of Tekël. On October 23rd, they will release Babylon By Car, a pop, post-punk and electronic music cocktail dedicated to the celebration and vilification of the automobile and its place in modern culture. Which brings us to Overdrive, Babylon By Car’s first single and a fitting tip of the hat to Klaus Dinger’s enduring motorik.
