Allow us to introduce you to Keegan DeWitt: Portland native, former theater kid, scorer of films and, most importantly for our purposes here, really good singer-songwriter.
DeWitt’s latest EP, Nothing Shows, is out today, and right here we’ve got the premiere of his video for the set’s last track, “Hearts Beat Loud.” Released on Daytrotter’s Record Barn, the EP is mellow, but commands attention. “Hearts Beat Loud” is a slow-builder, revolving around a repeating guitar line that propels the tune forward. Check out the video below, where you’ll see four young folks (Hey, just like us!) running through the city at night. But pay attention to the subtleties — not everyone’s so happy by morning.
