We have been finding ourselves falling more and more into the sounds of Rhode Island’s Elisa and her upcoming Morning Again EP out on May 2nd. The first single from the release was the sparkling ’80s-indebted “You Can Wear The Mink” and now we get the equally captivating EP title track glistening in late ’70s disco sheen in the vein of a Blondie with a hint of Stevie Nicks. Despite the tracks up-beat production, the song is, according to Elisa, a “response to the culture of violence that seems uniquely pervasive to America” related to what seems to be the constant news of police brutality, rape, mass shootings, and so on.
