“Omaha” is the first single NYC-based Junius Karr’s debut EP, The Late Great Junius Karr, set for release in March. The song is a showcases a variety of genres such lo-fi rock, folk, and even a bit of traditional country twang creating what he cheekily calls Songer/Singwriter. Just as you expect of a talented artist starting at the beginning of his arc, Karr is free with his emotions laced with an underlying, yet earnest angst that is delivered in a manner far more mature than his age of 20 would suggest. To fully bring out the lushness in the instrumentation, Karr enlisted help from contemporaries and friends Michael Wuerth, Noah Champ, and Murphy Stereosystem. While it is always difficult to make a judgment based on one song, we can confidently say he has our attention. Spin the track below.
