Last September, New York City quartet Silverbird released their under-the-radar debut LP, Pureland, through Dry Drunk Records. The album is full of melodic rock tracks with one of the highlights being the subdued, almost folk-Americana, track “Smile” that really is not as happy sounding as the title might indicate and is more about wistfulness towards a past relationship. The visual brings this theme out pulling imagery of those intimate moments of a relationship that feel insignificant at the time they occurs, but ultimately last in your memories forever.
