In recent years, Sub Pop has slowly started to showcase more and more folk-leaning artists. Melbourne’s Luluc are the latest example of this. The duo, comprised of ZoĆ« Randell and Steve Hassett, will be releasing the album Passerby on July 15th. It was co-produced by The National’s Aaron Dessner, who brought in members of The National, Sufjan Stevens, Bon Iver, and Beirut to play on it. The first song from it is delicate “Small Window” heavy in gentle guitar strumming and angelic vocals. Randle says the song “was drawn from the sometimes enchanting space between dreaming and waking” and we couldn’t think of a more appropriate description. Listen below.

    Love This Song

Everyone knows that music changes your mood, but it still amazes me when it does.

So calming, even in my revved up state.
