MOKB Video Premiere : How Sad : “Indian Summer”

A few weeks back, Montreal quartet How Sad unleashed their debut EP, Indian Summer, to positive reviews. Starting off as personal bedroom recordings, they slowly developed into band making an organic blend of indie-pop made to be heard live rather than just on your headphones. Ironic, given they just released a track together this week, you will here touches of David Bowie and stripped-down Arcade Fire, specifically in the composition and vocals/harmonies. Over they past year, they have built a strong live reputation touring with the likes Purity Ring, Twin Sister, Rich Aucoin, Darwin Deez, and many more.

To keep the momentum rolling, we have the visual companion to the title track for the EP. Directed by Rory O’Rear, the humorous video depicts people at various ages in their life doing everything to make each day count and stay passionate. Find it below and, for those in the Brooklyn area, be sure to catch them this Saturday at the Cameo Gallery as our friends at The Wild Honey Pie will be doing a EP release show for them. It will also include appearances by MisterWives, Gospels, Rioux, and Color Collage. Find the full details for that here.
