Philadelphia’s Eric Howl fuses elements of Americana, blue, and some dirty southern garage rockabilly creating something fresh in the modern musical landscape. “I’m Goin’ Down,” the title track to his forthcoming full-length, is a jangly, foot-stompin’ affair that even contains elements of doo-wop. Howl is accompanied by his band The Way Down Lows on the cut featuring Nick Cislak on bass guitar, organ and backup vocals, and Dustin Venuto on drums. The track brings to mind images of greased back hair and cigarettes rolled up in a white t-shirt sleeve. In the visual, they have a little fun southern style with a mud fight in a river which they paid extras in beer along with quintessential backdrops of the south. Brendan Ekstrom from Circa Survive also makes an appearance juggling rocks. Grab a shot of whisky and get ready to raise some hell with this one. Watch below.

Another Eric Howl classic. Love the enthusiasm of the mud people and hanging musicians. Recognize some familiar sites and folks in my neck of the woods. Awesome!
