MOKB Premiere : Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band : Devil’s Look Like Angels

Rejoice saints and sinner alike! Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band is back and comin’atcha with their fif and newest album, Between The Ditches. For this latest chapter in the trio’s rich history, they have taken to White Arc Studio in Bloomington, Indiana, where they toiled (and probably tipped a few) under the watchful eye of producer Paul Mahern (John Mellencamp, Iggy Pop). The proof, as they say, is in the puddin’.

The whole shootin’ match was mastered by Brian Lucey (Black Keys, Dr. John, Shins), and if the Rev’s people are to be belived, Between The Ditches contains some of this Nero of the National’s finest recorded moments. Sadly you’re going to have to wait until August 7th to get it from the fine folks at Side One Dummy Records, but MOKB feels your pain and is proud to present the premiere of backwater boogie, Devil’s Look Like Angels.

And in case you were wondering what the Rev was doing for summer vacation this year…
